OT: the AMD Phenom II x4 810

I'd like your advice on how the above chip works with Vegas as opposed to an Intel chip. Does it generate more heat. They say it clocks out at 3Ghz and still has something left over. With 8 GB of SDRAM, it appears to be a good buy. Anything you say will help

i have a phenom 9600, everything's good with me. Don't have any complaints with the chip or vegas.
