HitFilm now has a tutorial for the puppet tool -

It's also available from their homepage via the menu (Video Tutorials).

Thanks for the link. That seems to be using HitFilm itself. I wonder how well it works using the Ignite plugin. I might try and see.

First Tests: Have thrown a PNG containing Alpha on the VP15 Timeline, which becomes an Image Sequence via wicplug.dll (Magix). [Right-click] + 'Add Hitfilm Effect' ends up in a Red 'OfflineMedia' in Hitfilm [BUG] -> NOT WORKING within HFP6..

However, you can create a Vegas Dummy-Video-Media clip Copy, 'Add Hitfilm FX', and add your PNG within your HFP6 composite. Edit, Animate, Save&Export. All good. From then on, you can Edit the clip in Vegas and it will send you straigt back to HF. Fine.

[Intel 4000] Using 'Media Event Effects: Ignite Puppet': I can apply the Effect onto the PNG file on the VP15 timeline. I can set Control Points in Edit Mode on the Preview Window.. But it seems that when changing to 'Animation'-Mode, those control points remain in Edit mode and hence you cannot Animate [BUG] . I was able to close the ControlPoints in the FX edit window, and then Animate via the control points in the Preview window. But copying/editing keyframes and manipulating animation on the FX edit timeline doesn't seem to be working properly either [BUGGY] (feels like EDIT and ANIMATE control data are a jumbled up mess)

When I switch to 'GPU acceleration' to Nvidia GTX670M, the puppet and control points disappear on the timeline, and I'm left with the mesh (only when the FX edit window is open). This will also disappear forever once FX editor closes/reopens. [BUG]

hmm....

/edit / add:

Adding ControlPoints after the fact will [BUG] the number of ControlPoints Editable in the keyframe editor.

> Spacebar 'Play' or Play-icon press in the FX editor will not do anything [BUG].

In order to get a successful animation happening you need to 1) select the 'Animate' mode (after having done mesh & control points) 2) select the desired keyframe via 'previous/next keyframe' 3) select 'Position N' row in the keyframe timeline 4) move/edit keyframe in preview window...

Thats what seems to be working at the moment

keyframe context menu: all items greyed out/ unselectable [BUG]....how are your findings @Kit-As-Was ?

@Kit-As-Was, have you had a chance yet to investigate/confirm the findings? considering raising the issue with cust.service..whoever feels responsible (yeah, good luck)
