OT: Transport streams and AC3 muxing

I have a friend who doesnt have the internet so I am asking here for him. He says he has a piece that a network wants to use for HD and is requiring him to submit a tarnsport stream with AC3 audio. Vegas outputs the .mpg and .m2v files as well as the AC3 files. However, does anyone have an idea how to mux the AC3 stream into the .TS (extention changed from .mpg) without any synch problems?

you need a proper transport stream muxer if you are doing this for any kind of commercial work ... I have one and can do it -- but you can buy one also from Manzanita Systems. you need the the right software so that you can set the correct pids, it can set the right buffer sizes, and set the offsets and stream delays...

mpeg2vcr also has a transport stream muxer -- but it is not very good at all and most often clips the buffer..
