We had a burst of crazed enthusiasm for a couple of days when we saw the offer, especially since they would take the old BetaSP camera that lies unloved in the closet. If your NLE will work with DVCProHD it's a great format.

We're guessing that this camera got crushed by competition from things like RED.

In the end we decided it didn't make financial sense since we'd just bought an HDX900 last year, and we really needed a tape-based camera for the project we bought it for. P2 was not appealing and we wouldn't keep this camera working by ourselves.

I think if you find partners who can keep it working and renting then it's a good deal. I don't know how it compares to the Fxxx series, though.
