This has been discussed before. Search "DivideFrame". Besides that, other Vegas plug-ins use hardware acceleration, for example RedGiant Magic Bullet Looks.

Yea, you should probably read the AVCHD/h.264 GPU plugin for Vegas thread. A lot of us tried it and it was pretty flaky and of limited use.

What's worse, the author's message board has been disabled for several months, making support very difficult.

The last time I tried it I couldn't get it to work properly and I see there hasn't been another software update since. That as well was several months ago. I guess he must have called it quits??

Too bad. I was looking forward to some great gpu acceleration in Vegas.

Of course come to think of it.... CS5 is supposed to be coming out with some massive super duper gpu acceleration system. Maybe the author feels it's no longer viable?
