OT: VGA to component adapter

To run a signal from laptop VGA out to HDTV component in, is there a simple (and cheap) connector-cable-connector solution? Or does one need an expensive transcoder?

The cables are avaliable from any vendor, Dalco, Newegg, etc. They are analog to BNC and you need probably BNC to RCA adapters which are prettty cheap.
