I received the following e-mail about an upcoming video contest in Austin, TX. I'm posting it in hopes that someone who uses Vegas can enter and win (hear that Muttley), furthering the credibility of Vegas (www.sxsw.com is the website):

SXSWeb is now SXSWclick! After a hugely successful 2004 event, South
by Southwest's summer multimedia festival returns with a new name to
better reflect our expansion into emerging and mobile media technologies.

SXSWclick is now accepting entries with a final deadline for entries
on June 10th. Entries are welcome in all film genres (music videos,
documentaries, narratives, flash animation, etc.) but cannot be longer
than 5 minutes. You may submit your entry on DVD, VHS tape, or as an
.swf file on disk. Please be sure your submission is NTSC, Region 1
compatible.

Finalists will be selected by July 1st and posted on the SXSW website,
where viewers will be able to cast a vote for their favorite. In
addition a specially selected jury will deliberate on the finalists.
People's Choice and Jury winners will be announced on July 29th and
will be automatically entered to screen at the 2006 SXSW Film
Festival, March 10-18th in Austin, TX. The winning short films may be
viewed on the SXSW website when they are announced.
