I'm working on a project with my church. We're kicking off a high energy kids environment where there's tons of video and audio playback needs.
Are you familiar with any product that would fit the need? Ideally it would playback many formats of audio or video, and the important part: it needs to gracefully hop to the next item clicked (cross fade, mix audio). So during the performance if they hot click another element, it doesn't die and take a second to start back up. Know of anything that would do this well?
In the main adult auditorium they use a mac product (pro video presenter) that does just this...well. We have a PC in the kids area and are trying to stay away from the dark side (spending $$ on a new machine and another mac). Renewed Vision is the site for the mac software...it's fantastic.
And is there a source you know of for really cool edgy countdowns? Instead of spending dozens of hours trying to create a cool 10 second to 1 countdown...there's probably something out there for purchase. Know of anything?
For those that want we're aiming for ... click kids stuf and then click "last kidstuf" then click 2005/2006 highlights. This is not my church, it's Northpoint near Atlanta...: an amazing church on so many levels. Their video plant has 50+ terabytes to serve their 15,000 people in the congregation. They reach the kids by getting on their level...and they compete by aiming for nickelodeon instead of the church down the street. It's unbelievable to see their commitment and success.
Thank you very much for any help. Sean
