I got an e-mail from a client this morning. They're having trouble using the new QR barcode the smart phones use to view a video we produced for them back in February. He says, "With a Blackberry it plays the audio but not the video. With an iPhone it won’t play anything at all. ... Is there anyway that you can make it so that anyone scanning the barcode will be taken to this site? Or do you know any other option to make this work?" The video file provided to the client was H.264.
So I'm interested in your thoughts/opinions: What is the responsibility (if any) of the video producer in such a case? I was contracted to produce and deliver the video, not deal with IT and/or smart phone issues.
