This is probably old news, but installing SP2 on my Vista 32 laptop freed up over 17GB, or 12% of my hard drive space!

The 'winsxs' folder was reduced to a svelte 9GB, and I understand I can trim another 1GB or so with the compcln.exe command.

Just wanted to share in case someone else didn't know the hidden advantage of the update.
