OT: WAV Compression

Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone out there knows of a good compression utility for WAV files. I need to compress/decompress some large WAVs and want to maintain little to no loss in the process.

Lots of people like the PCA format from Sonic Foundry. It compresses 5:1 with no loss at all. Unforutnately it's a Sonic Foundry proprietary format, so it won't work with any other software. If you want files that are compatible with most anything else, use MP3 with a bitrate of 160Kbps or so. This will probably be close enough to lossless for most any purpose.
