OT: What is Vrms output on the Z1

There is the audio output settings of 1Vrms and 2Vrms. The 2 sounds louder but what is the real difference. Which should I have it on?

Another thing with sound is I have a PD150 shotgun mic on the the Z1 and find that the audio is very low in the auto mode(ya ya, put in manual I know) I found that it was fine on the 150 in auto.

Vrms stands for Volts (Root Mean Square) which a factor of .707 sine peak voltage.

1 Volt RMS from your camcorder is adequate for almost any line input. 2 volts might be too hot for some inputs.
