The latest Dells 24" monitors get good reviews.
As you don't state a price range and if you want to also preview video on it then you can spend a LOT more money though.

You're going to get a lot of different opinions and ultimately you'll be no closer to knowing which one to buy.

That said, I do agree that the upper-end 24" Dell monitors are very good. Their U2410 is particularly sweet, it's kind of pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

Did you ever watch anyone using a 24" monitor? They always lean forward squinting trying to accomplish their tasks. Why screw around with those tiny monitors when you can get at least a couple of 32" jobs and lean back in your chair in comfort while tasking. They are also about ten times easier on the old eyeballs.
