Really? Did you know we have the "original" Elsinore (that is Helsingoer), Hamlets castle, btw. some 50 Kms north of here (Copenhagen)? :- )

Right About Here: North shore of Lake Nipissing, just north of Georgian Bay, landscape of enlightenment.

Used to sit on the granite rocks along the lake as a kid pondering what the heck was going on, you know life and death and love and stuff, with the Manitoulin Islands seven miles out floating on a layer of air, the farther shore around the French River layered with deepening bands of purple, the West Arm falling away below the horizon, the sun creating spoked-ladders into the sky, the cumulous clouds migrating like elephants around the rim, the ring-billed gulls playing with sailboats, minnows and crayfish pulsing with the waves. Whenever life narrows in, I remember the wide-open spaciousness of it all.
