OT: Why a Question Mark? autopilot wrote on 11/11/2006, 9:26 AM Why do I get a question mark when I try to watch Quicktime videos? I just got a new hard drive and put the newest Quicktime on it - I think it's 7.1? ?? Back to post
Comments bStro wrote on 11/11/2006, 9:59 AM If you were trying to watch trailers at Quicktime.com, I had that problem, too, a little bit ago. It was only temporary. If that wasn't it, where are the videos you're trying to watch? Rob autopilot wrote on 11/11/2006, 8:13 PM Google, especially. bStro wrote on 11/11/2006, 8:52 PM What, you mean Google Videos? They don't use Quicktime -- they use Flash video. Try installing Adobe Flash Player. It's not uncommon to get a Quicktime "Q" icon when you're missing some other plug-in -- possibly because the browser just hasn't been told yet what program needs to be used. Rob autopilot wrote on 11/12/2006, 1:53 PM I definitely have Flash installed, and I still get " the question mark ". LynxFX wrote on 11/12/2006, 5:10 PM This happens to me whenever I have my popup block enabled. Once I disable it, and refresh the page, the quicktime files play. 1
