OT: Wii in PAL to NTSC?

I got an email from a client who has a Wii game disc from Europe, in the PAL format.
He wants to have it changed to NTSC.

I don't have Wii and have no idea what the file formats are for this product. Any idea regarding how to do this conversion, if it's possible at all. (My guess would be that it's copy protected and can't be converted.)

I understand from looking on the web that if he has a modchip in his Wii it will do the conversion for him but evidently he doesn't have this feature.

A game disc isn't just a bunch of video files like a DVD. What he wants you to do is essentially impossible. Also, any modification or reverse engineering of the game disc would be illegal. Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy the NTSC version of the game?

Thanks John. That's what I needed to hear. I've never seen the contents of a game disc -- I don't do Wii -- and know virtually nothing about what's to be found there.

I certainly wouldn't think of reverse engineering the disc and I don't know why the client doesn't want to buy an NTSC version.

Most likely doesn't want to pay extra $$ for the same game.

also, depending on the game it may not be available on this side of the world.

then the "easiest" way it to buy a PAL wii, a 60 to 50hz electric adapter & play that way.
