OT - Wireless UHF lavs/combos recommendations?

Hey All,

I've had it with my VHF lav rig and was wondering if there were any recommendations for a decent UHF set up. I'm using a GL1 w/Beachtek box, so XLR or 1/8" will work. What I want is a bit more "consistent" sound levels (if possible) and stable docking of the lav itself. Range isn't much of an issue since all my stuff is close-up.

Thanks in advance.

I just purchased a Sennheiser Evolution EW112P that I really like a lot. 5 selectable channels, multiple sensitivity settings, solid construction, great sound, and (so far), no interference. Other niceties include screw-down connections on all the mini-plug, sliding control covers and generous cabling standard.

$399 from Full Compass (www.fulllcompass.com).

I use a nady-401 quad for my weddings. I have only had the chanve to use three mics and never found a reason to use the fourth, but the system is really clean and sounds great.

I just purchased two wm-606 VHF combo Mics. I will let you know how well they work.

Pardon my ignorance if this doesn't relate to UHF, but I remember reading very recently about HDTV transmission and how the new frequencies interfered with some wireless freqs. I made a mental note to be sure and check all that out before I bought any new wireless equipment (which I haven't, but thought I would pass this along) Would hate to buy new gear and have it be potentially incompatible in a couple of years.
