one of my clients just gave me a xlr > usb cable (digitech am-2038).
i connected to winxp (32bit) - it loaded c-media drivers, told me to reboot (i always do what i'm told), however, i've connected a couple of mics to it and nothing (i now have a c-media vol control listed under audio devices when i plug it in, but that's all).
is there anything i should know about using this sort of cable / software?
for v/o i've been using mic in with both neck and short shotgun. no problem really other than finding my rather well-worn xlr > minijack cable. this usb - xlr cable is 5mt, so it would be a lot more practical....
