OT: Your favorite DVD duplication facility?

DataMeister wrote on 9/12/2007, 3:00 PM
I know this is breaking out of the current Vegas Pro 8 excitment. But I've been out of the duplication circle for almost two years. I'm sure there has been some competition going with prices and quality since I last checked.

So, what is everyone's favorite duplication and replication facilities?

Been very happy with Sound Video Corp. Use them regularly and they do a quality job big or small.

Ted at uTech has always provided more service at a lower cost than anyplace else we have used. They even apply CSS and Macrovision without giving me (more) gray hair...

They are located in Santa Clara, CA. If you call, tell Ted that Andrew @ Red Dog Records sent ya. If you are local, go pick up your order and have him point out the local all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ place. IT ROCKS!

Thanks for the quick replies. Now I just need to do a little analysis / comparison and then pick one.

Media Management Services/Precise Management Services. Rick Hively from MMS, is my contact and the large (relative term isn't it...I'm referring to 1000 or more) orders are produced at PMS. Good news is they recently switched to DVD Arch from DVDSP in case you just want to have them create your DVD's from your vid files, so, it works nicely with VV projects obviously. You can actually sit with the guy (Don Ingle) while he does the project if you wish. They are very cheap and will do small projects too. I've been using them for about 7 years. They also do many large projects of 50,000 + for replication. They have produced all of my long form DVD projects and I would not want to use anyone else. You will pay far less than LA based companies. They are located in Ontario and their building is the size of a few football fields. haha A+ in my book. I have had about 30-40 returns from customers of DVD's that would not play on their set top players out fo approximately 10,000+ DVD's I have ordered from them for replication. Derek

I have used Proaction Media in Phoenix. They have done a great job for me at reasonable prices. I've used them for the past 3 years for small 50-100 DVD duplication projects.

I have used http://www.expediamediallc.com for replication (1,000 min). They did 3 of my DVDs and I am very satisfied with the work.

I have also used http://www.nationalmediaservices.com for duplication and artwork. Nice people to work with.
