I assume you recorded it against the video, right.

I think the problem here is latency. But no big drama, you can just slide it along the timeline to get iback in sync.

Actually it's all audio; no video. I'm recording vocals over music, so precision and timing is pretty key.

The recordings shouldn't have latency though; I've recorded tons of songs in Vegas and never had this problem before. It seems isolated to this project.

Hm. I was about to suggest plugins, but that shouldn't affect recorded audio. Did you update to 4.0d?

I just did...I haven't tried recording yet. I'll let you know how it works.

I am having the *exact* same problem masdoggy.
I've never had Vegas do this before, but now anything I record is delayed and thus out of sync.
Can we get a Sonic Foundry person up in here to resolve this?!
this is not good.

masdoggy,
I've slightly lost you here. Were you playing out of VV and at the same time recording back?
If that's the case then I'd suspect something SoFo changed in the last release, check the bug fixes I think a few of them were related to audio.
Still if you didn't mix the music back into the vocals i.e. they are still on separate tracks you should be able to resync them.
If thats what has gone awry they or anyone else that might be able to help you here is going to need to know what gear you're running.

daft question, but are you running the latest version - 4.0D, this is supposed to have resolved this issue - which was acknowledged as a problem in 4.0C. I have no probs on my system, but never experienced the incorrect record placement bug first hand on any version...

I have the problem too, all recorded audio tracks are out of sync!!
Another bug is, if you copy a track, put the solo button and want edit the FX now, they will be muted ever...this problem happens only on copied tracks!

Where the hell is the forum moderator?

what's the point of sonic foundry having a forum if they don't even moderate it and help out its cutomers

this might as well just be any forum then

it's recording in sync now for some unknown reason, i've had the 4.0d patch all along. I probably shouldn't have gotten upset about no forum moderator and what-not, it's just really discouraging when you can't even work with your music because the software messing it up.
