In the 'render as' screen, what does checking the 'stretch video to fill output frame size' do exactly? Also, I was wondering how much gaussian blur would be needed to add a nice touch but not be too profound? Thanks

Not all the source files you use in your project are the same rectangular shape as the project's frame. Some will be a little wider and shorter, some will be a little narrower and taller. The wider ones will fill the frame from side to side leaving empty black bars at the top and bottom. The taller ones will fill the frame from top to bottom leaving empy black bars on the sides. The stretch function will stretch these images to fill the frame so that there are no black bars. If used on a wider shorter image, everything will be stretched vertically and look thinner. If used on a taller narrower image, everything will be stretched horizontally and look fatter.
This usually works well when the shape is close to correct and doesn't have to be stretched much. If the shape is drastically different, for example, using a portrait-orientation photograph, it may be better to use Pan/Crop to crop to a smaller section of the image instead, or leave the empty bars on the side and fill them with an interesting background.
Thanks a lot. I actually had a light problem with slight differences in size. I put a cookie cutter on the video clip, up by the top. And i put a solid color under it. Near the very top of the cut square was a black line. I ended up having to compromise a bit. Hopefully this will solve that. Thanks so much.
