Output problems, still no movie to watch!

Can't output my simple 3 minute HD video...100 choices and nothing works. If I choose a Mainconcept option, about 2 minutes in, the video goes all "slo-mo" and looses sync with the audio (there are no effects used anywhere). If I choose a blu ray option I get no audio, even though I have "include audio stream" option. If I choose a Sony option I get an error message saying "codec error can't create file" (or something similar). I've tried about 10 times, and still have no movie.

I'm using mts files (have been for years). I've had similar output problems in the past but somehow always managed to output a movie. This time...no go, no movie...very frustrating.
Thanks for any help!!

Sounds like your computer may not be fast enough to play the hi-def format you're outputting.

Try outputting a BluRay disc (or saving a BluRay disc file to your hard drive). If you've got a moderately powered machine (at least a dual core) you should have no problems playing it.

Thanks. I've made dozens of hd movies on this moderately fast laptop computer for youtube, using huge mts source files and never had a power problem before. (often record for an hour or more straight). Plus the clip is only 3minutes long, and there are no effects, just a couple of crossfades. A disc is not really what I want, I want best quality for youtube (and posterity). I tried to make a blu ray file but, as I mentioned, I got no audio stream (no idea why??) but the video looked great.
Any other ideas?

What are you playing back on?
What bitrate and render properties is the file you are trying to play back?
What are your system specs?

The BluRay templates in Vegas are video only.
You are expected to render the audio separately and prepare in Architect.

If you are interested in good quality for Youtube, try my tutorial here. The "good" method should be just fine for you.
