"Was the actual render time 14 hrs?"

Yes it was. I checked and rechecked everything, I even started a clean project, dropped the video files on the timeline and set the render properties based on a bitrate calculator and without any editing, it estimated 14 hours. I'm going to recheck all my camera settings and make sure I'm not overlooking anything.

Another "long render" thing I've read about is accidentally having compositing mode set to 3d instead of the normal "Source Alpha". Check the compositing mode on all your video tracks.

Hey, that was probably me back in June, right? Thanks to John M for getting me through that one. I just replicated that one vid track without even noticing it.

Replicated during rendering or before rendering?
( I'm having a problem with my rendering duplicating rendered file, when rendering completes).
Is there anyway I could get you to throw a link up to the thread your talking about ( or even the title of the thread)?

What I meant was I kept creating a new video track for more elements, all the while not noticing that on each new track I had 3D alpha selected, instead of source alpha. 11 out of 12 layers were trying to be read as 3D.
