Ok I have all my captures and my edits in vagas, I have finshed all my project and all thats left to do is to render and burn to DVD. But I want to save all my media and information about the project, including the .veg file.

What I am asking for is... is there a way in Vagas that I can package a full project up to one dir, so that if I ever need to redo the project I can restore all files and information from this dir. or DVD. into Vagas with all my effects and takes, and then just render a new file... This feature is in MSP and it packaged all the project to a dir where you just burn't to DVD.

When you save the .veg file there is an option to "Copy and trim media with project". This will make copies of all the media files along with the .veg file. An added bonus is that it even trims AVI and WAV files down to just the portions used in the project for smaller file sizes. Unfortunately, It saves the audio and the video from source AVI files separately, so you'll end up with an additional WAV file from each AVI file.

I've been making use of this lately when moving a project to my laptop. Cool - but the separate avi / wav files are a pain. Is there any way around this>

If not, perhaps SoFo / Sony can fix or provide for an option in 4.0d!
