I rendered to mpeg2 but thought the screen was smaller upon viewing?
Might have something to do with PAL vs. NTSC?
Also how do the settings of Frame Rate affect quality?
If you are going out to DVD then if the DV is say PAL then I assume you're in PAL land (or the other way around if NTSC). In that case you should encode using the DVDA PAL template, don't change anyihing apart from the bitrate if needed to get it to fit onto the DVD.

Of course you are in PAL land. You should never touch anything NTSC. And Windows Media Player is unreliable when it comes to viewing full screen or not. You can force it by pressing Alt+Enter. But whatever you do you should do a test-burn to DVD (rewritable if you like, that's what I do) and view it on a proper DVD player. Hej då.
