Pan/Crop feature we need back in Vegas!

When you pan/crop you move where you want, set keyframes & use the preview window/pan/crop window to see how things look.

But I was using Vegas 4 the other day & saw that it's pan/crop window had a curve drawn in the pan/crop view that showed what the pan/crop motion looked like. Also had little icon where keyframes were on the curve it drew. Can we get that back? I loved that, it was very handy.

Anyone else miss that?

lol ok i confess..
admitadly, i still have V4 installed on my system for this reason.. lol
i like seeing the path, especially when im working with slideshows.. also seeing the path allows one a visual "look" of any given KF settings (smooth, slow, linear, fast, sharp) etc

Also, i like the idea of having a ruler in the pan crop window, where ui can gran and drag the ruler up or down , or left and right and pan across a zoomed element of teh Pan Crop youre working on..

god i miss that.. but like i said, i keep V4 installed for that...
I do the work in V4, save to Veg, then reimport into V7, resave then reimport Veg as nested timeline into V7 main project

Tedious workaround, but if i need to be specific, it works a treat

Many Moons ago, I remember a s/w package that allowed me to "grab" the actual path and pull it about.

It is ONE thing seeing the path - then what? Or rather "so what"?

I want to be able to manipulate the PATH too!!! In real-time!

i think V4 let u do that.. im not sure.. i cant be bothered checking..

as for paths, DVDA4 has come a bit with it, wherey u can tweak said path, but this is for text only... its too tedious to do individual letters at a time and as there are no presets to work from, it doesnt make it really much all that worthwhile unless your getting paid good cash to do it.. (ie, fancy shmancy text )

Path manipulation? Nope.

I'm with you guys.
Being able to edit the path in realtime with an anchor over video would make
work easier. This might open the door to tracking for virtual sets.
Export the tracking info to another 3D package.
