Pan/Crop Keyframe Jump Bug in 1080×1920 Projects — Confirmed Across Multiple Clips (VEGAS Pro 23 - Build 302)

Hello,

I’m encountering what appears to be a repeatable Pan/Crop animation bug in VEGAS Pro 23, but only when editing in a 1080×1920 (vertical) project resolution. I would like to confirm whether this is a known issue and if there is a planned fix in an upcoming build.

Symptoms

When adding Pan/Crop keyframes (even simple two-keyframe zooms), the event will sometimes jump or shift position unexpectedly during playback.

The issue persists even with:

Standard 1080p video clips (no 4K, no oversized images)

No additional FX applied

Linear, smooth, or fast keyframe types

Replacing the media does not fix the issue; copying/pasting attributes brings the glitch back immediately.

What I’ve Tested

Replacing the clip with fresh media → issue returns when Pan/Crop is re-applied

Removing middle keyframes reduces the chance but does not eliminate it

Using Nested Timelines does prevent the glitch

Switching the project temporarily to 1080×1350, performing Pan/Crop work there, then switching back to 1080×1920 also prevents the glitch

The same Pan/Crop animation performs normally in 1080×1350 and 1920×1080 projects

My Environment

VEGAS Pro 23 (latest build as of this post)

Windows 10/11

Editing vertical video only (1080×1920)

Questions

  1. Is this a known bug in the current build?
  2. Is a fix planned for an upcoming maintenance update?
  3. Is there an official recommended workaround beyond Nested Timelines or switching project resolution temporarily?

Thank you — I can provide a screen recording or project file if needed.

Would it be possible to provide a .veg file (I assume the media doesn't matter) for testing? Please upload to a sharing site.
