Pan/Crop presets

I just discovered the presets in the pan/crop dialog. I've been right-clicking the Pan-frame to make images Match Output Aspect Ratio, and now when I choose the DV Widescreen TV preset, It makes my images smaller. Anyone know why or exactly how much smaller it's making them? (Project properties are set for widescreen.)and Which combination of settings is best for DVD?

I think the best way is to select "match output ratio" and then make any adjustments to the image size from there.
