pan/crop window is not popping up

I am new, but have been able to use the pan/crop feature in the past - however now when following the manual and clicking on the "Video Event Pan/Crop" item in the drop down box - I get no response from the software.

The event I am trying to pan/crop is simply a digital still shot. Perhaps I have changed an option or a preference?

Shall I uninstall and start over or is there another idea out there?

I've managed in the past to move it outside of the viewable area. Mine was under the windows toolbar. So it's popped up but on a different part of your screen. If you increase the resolution of your screen in desktop settings for windows you should be able to find it.

I bet jimmyz's right. Another thing you can do is hold ctrl+shift down while opening the program. This resets all settings -- including windows -- to their default values/location. A downside is that this will reset all Preferences you set. Annoying if you've changes a lot of them.
