Panasonic Cinema Mode, anyone happen to know?

Hi,

A long shot question. Does anyone know if the new Panasonic 3 chip PV953 camcorder
does 16:9 mode in the same way as the japanese version, the MX5000, which was never
released in the U.S. It maintained vertical resolution in it's 16:9 mode, unlike
most camcorders. Just wondered if anyone knew. Try getting an answer from Panasonic!

Go over to DV.com and post that on the Camera Forum--Frank Grankowski who is an expert on the camera should answer you quickly---if I remember correctly it does support true 16:9. The only criticism of the camera I have heard is that it isn't great in low light.
