The SD9 has 60i.

"True 24p" refers to how a camera shoots, not how it records. If it's reading the CCDs progressively at a rate of 23.976 fps, then it's "true 24p."

That said, if your software can't remove the pulldown, then you can't edit it AS 24p. I don't know if 1) the SD9 records pulldown flags with the video or if 2) Vegas can recognize them.

At worst, editing 24p as 60i is what editors have done with film for decades.
