Paste and command

Well, when I copy an event an I want to paste it in between
2 existing events, the event which is after the paste point
will move forward, however the paste mode is setup ( normal
paste / paste insert)

for example : I have a 1 minute long event [A] starting at
00:00, I have another event [B] on the same track starting
at 03:00. I decide to copy [A] and to paste it at 01:30
still on the same track, then [B] will move 1 minute ahead,
at 04:00.

but, I want [B] to stay at 03:00, How can I do ? I tried
the 3 paste modes, with no results

Thank you for your help. Rod ( from France )

by the way, what is the command ruler for ? There is no
explaination in the user guide.

Turn off the ripple edit command. Ctrl-L or go to Options/Ripple Edit.
That should do what you're asking for.

The command ruler is for processing commands for use in a web page -
when saving as Windows Media (I think).
