I copy all events from 2:01:00 - 2:45:00

I paste these events in somewhere else

Sometimes It pastes jus fine

Sometimes it creates new tracks.

I have 12 tracks in this project. After pasting I end up with several new tracks being created and audio and video placed on these news tracks. Unnecssary and wrong.

Whats the trick behind succesfull copy and paste of events in vegas Pro 9?

Or am I seeing a bug? I think so. This feels wrong.
