That's correct and it's also why you need to check if every day so see what the new offer is.
There are useful tools like this periodically so it pays to check.
It does work 'straight out of the box' but I have noticed the weighting of the font is a lot less than in the original PDF and even at 100% the image size is a fair bit smaller than the original.
I take it that the point is to turn a 100 page PDF into 100 images?
For single pages I just use FastStone Capture. I forget whether it's still free but it's very handy. There's a version that will run off of a thumb drive, which is handy when grabbing screens of software that you want to keep far away from your own computer. Also, the program can autoscroll a page.
FastStone also makes an Image viewer which (I think, don't have it here to check) can view some raw formats. Handy and not as mind-numbingly stupid as Bridge.
I take it that the point is to turn a 100 page PDF into 100 images? - Well, yes, I'm guessing you can. I just made an arbitrary selection from a 250 page doco. It has that "MS-WORD" page selection Syntax option, for example: 1-4,5,7,9, 98-100. But to VIEW what you want, you'd have to use this in conjunction with a PDF viewer. No biggie . ..
As to reso, I've tested up to 100dpi within a series of PNGs and it looks great.
