When I bring a good mp4 video into movie studio the quality turns poor when played within movie studio or when rendered. What could be causing this?
Here's a short clip of what the video quality looks like:
P.S. I've been creating videos for several years now using movie studio and I don't remember having this problem before. Other videos work fine, this one doesn't. Maybe even some hints on where / how to start troubleshooting would be helpful.
I'm using v9.0c (build 30) on Windows 7 Professional
It seems like an MP4 frame loss issue. I remember running into a similar problem sometimes, with my Movie Studio 11.
If I remember right, I could fix it by right clicking on the clip and setting it to "disable resample" so that it doesn't crossfade frames to match the clip's framerate with the project framerate.
You'll then need to have the project set to exactly the same framerate as the footage.
