Hello Everyone,
This is my first time doing anything like this ... if you think it's not appropriate for this forum please feel free to flame me!
As many of you know I've been tearing my hair out for months with instability issues in Vegas Pro 8. This forum has been a place of hope and an amazing amount of help ... ie: I now have a system stable enough to at least finish this film project I'm working on. Thankyou.
In the process I needed to export from Vegas basically a 500 frame m2t as a high quality TIFF sequence so we could do some 3D Maya stuff. Couldn't find an answer anywhere. Rob Mack and a guy named Mike came to the rescue with a timely post pointing me to a really cool piece of software written by a bloke named Satish Kumar. It exports stuff, it does image sequence stuff, which previously Vegas couldn't do ... it's perfect for Vegas. It's called the Debugmode Frameserver. (I now have 500 beautiful TIFFs ready for Maya... I haven't even started exploring the possibilities of doing a full timeline AV 'render' into another app. without going via the hard-drive ... too cool!)
I wrote a thankyou note to Satish (and Rob and Mike) and suggested that the Debugmode Frameserver should be licensed by Sony for inclusion in Vegas Pro 8 permanently ... with its own dedicated button!
The license fee to Satish from Sony would be a great reward to a great programmer for offering a great FREE tool to otherwise hairless operators like myself.
If you want the Debugmode Frameserver as a permanent inclusion in Sony Vegas simply respond to this post and lets see what happens.
If you haven't got it ... get it ...
