PF25/PF720

I need to mix Video from 3 different cameras and would like the final output to be 720P. Two of the cameras image in native 720P while the 3rd, an older Canon HF100, native is 1080i. It is better to just render the 1080i in VMS HD 11 (production suite) to 720 than use the PF720?

If your computer is powerful enough to handle it I'd just edit the 1080i footage, then render everything out to 720. The nice thing about editing the 1080i footage is you can have "some" room to crop, zoom, rotate and pan the frame of the 1080 footage w/ no loss in quality. I always shoot in 1080p or 1080i and render down to 720p for youtube or DVD.

Yes, that sounds good as I have a 6 core/16 Gig memory that will work. Would you render it seperately or just include the 1080I in a 720P project?

If all the formats play well in Studio you can use them all at the same time.

I have used .mts, from a Panasonic TM700 and .mp4 from a Sanyo Xacti, and .avi from a Canon Point and shoot, and they all work fine.
