Picture In Picture

beaverbrook wrote on 5/22/2023, 6:40 AM

I have watched several tutorials.

I want to use motion tracking and place an image in the track. But on the second step, where I must put an image into a new video track and then drag the "Picture In Picture" FX into the image, it simply doesn't work.

It only puts in a box on top of the image and I can resize and move the box, but the image just sits there completely separate from both and I can't manipulate the image at all.

Thank you for your help.

From what you write I get the impression that you do all at one track.
Therefore it is better to show here a screenshot of the total interface with your problem,

The image is not "within" the "square", despite the fact that I dragged the picture in picture FX into the timeline.

@beaverbrook You applied the PIP FX twice and in the preview you enabled split screen view which can depending on it's setting lead to not showing the applied FX.

Just disable split screen view

That's progress.

But now I remember why I clicked that button.
I can't see the video without that "split screen" clicked. It shows a small chunk of the window now.

Thanks.

**edit**
Nevermind. I put a crop on the track for some reason. *sigh*

Thanks for your help.
