At some point during my first attempt at editing a video using my Sony HDR-CX12 camcorder, the supplied PMB-Picture Motion Browser, and Vegas Movie Studio 9.0b, I selected some of the clips I did NOT want in the video. Whether this was done in VMS or PMB, I don't remember.
At any rate, the file name of the clips so selected were modified by inserting a "(1)" between the file name and the extention. Also, some information was removed form the clip "Properties".
The problem is that these clips can no longer be included in a VMS project, nor can the be viewed under any other program other than PMB.
A thumbnail of the clips are visible in the the PMB Explorer window ... with a small "sissor" icon on the thumbnail. Stranger yet, within PMB the clip can not only be played but can rendered as a small WMV file (the source clip is 1920x1080.
A Sony chat session, this afternoon, was unsuccessful. Hence, I am now approaching the citadel of knowledge.
Any ideas about how I rehab these clips?
