Some of the pictures are upside down during playback...how can I correct this?

Use Event Pan/Crop and right click on the crop box and select "Flip Vertical",
or
Right click on the timeline event, select Properties, then the Media tab and with Rotation select "180° (inverted)" from the drop down list.
