Pinnacle DVD express?

I am looking for a good DVD authoring software that doesn't re-encode my DVD MPEG2 files.
I got DVDit right now but the problem is that it re-encodes the Audio into LPCM wav and this process bloats up the files considerably.
I heard that DVD complete from dazzle and ulead's DVD workshop leave the files alone and accept any DVD files "as is".
What is the deal with Pinnacle's express? has anyone used it before? does it re-encodes?

thanks for the help.

Shaun

Upgrade to DVDit PE and you can encode your audio to Dolby AC-3. If your DVD's are for the United States, the ONLY options - per the DVD spec - are AC-3 (compressed) or PCM (uncompressed) so your DVD software is behaving correctly.

No, I am not in the States...We use PAL here so the MPEG audio "as is" is compliant with our DVD stand alone players.
I would love to upgrade to PE but the upgrade price is way past my budget.
I ask about the pinnacle product because it cost only 49$

Sorry, can't help with PAL info - but DVDit DOES have a PAL setting. Won't it allow the use of MPEG audio when using the PAL setting? I would think that it should but have never had a need to try it.

Only PE gives that option "i think"...But SE will convert the audio into LPCM
