Pinnacle To Vegas

I am considering moving from Pinnacle to Vegas, I do home movies and some mild trade show movies loops. I am learning on Vegas 5 and would anyone consider helping me setup a project file. I need a looping 30 second "hook segment", that will play on a plasma screen hopefully to draw people in, and then a 60 to 90 second "story segment". I have story boarded what I want to do and am shooting DV tomorrow in the field. I would be happy to trade any Flash development work that you might need. Also, I agree with the posts I have read about Vegas's stability and power, I have used Pinnacle since V8 and it is erratic at best. I wish I had not wasted learning time on Pinnacle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What help are you needing in setting up the veg file? I understand what you are saying you want to do, but I am missing how setting up the veg file would be difficult. You just make the project with your captured footage--> Render the section you want to loop as mpg2 for DVD arch vid stream, Render the audio as ac3 with the same name-->render the story segment using the above method and load these files into DVDA and you could make a menu with both items on it or you could select the 30 second "hook segment" as an intro vid to the next section of your video and have it to loop.
