Pitch: 3D animation (Lightwave) with Vegas 10

I have a project on the tarmac that would be perfect for 3D.

We're using Lightwave and posting with Vegas. We just started boarding so we can move to full 3D technically... wondering what the image formats are 3D settings should be in Lightwave, then if Vegas can talk to LW, and how do I monitor and deliver the results?

Low budget indie film so I suspect red-blue glasses will be in order. Does Vegas support that kind of 3D?

Any docs on how this workflow is done on the Sony or indie sites?

Thanks!

Too bad this competition ended in 2010. But the tutorials they left online are a great start.

Does Vegas patch together two separate images into a composited image sequence?

How does one share a 3D film these days?

Does Vegas offer the ability to export both a blue-red version and something more modern like the method used in Avatar?

Anyone do a video tutorial on setting up tracks for 3D in Vegas?

If Lightwave renderer is in any way similar to Blender (haven't used lightwave in years), I'm pretty sure that you'll be doing all your 3D rendering/setup in lightwave's rendered & just using Vegas/DVDA for delivery.

Vegas also supports side by side and over/under 3D for passive and shutter tv systems as well. You should really consider one of these over the old anaglyph systems if at all possible. It's a much clearer picture with full color abilities.
