Pitch corrected scrubbing available yet?

Hello, I'm still using Vegas Pro 10, but thinking about upgrading to the latest Vegas Pro.

I'm most often editing podcasts these days. There is a scrubber speed control allowing me to listen at faster speeds, but above 1.5x the chipmunk effect makes the audio unintelligible.

Can anyone here confirm if there is a way to listen at faster speeds with the audio pitch corrected to normal? This would save me oodles of time in editing.

Alternately, is anyone aware if there is a plug-in or script that could accomplish this for me?

Thanks!

Jeff

As far as I can tell, in this respect VP15 behaves the same way as VP10. I don't personally know of a plugin for that.

Thanks, that's a bummer. What are the biggest enhancements in your opinion from VP10 to VP15?

Jeff

when playing 1.5x speed, the plugins are unfortunately inactive. Only realtime.

The only way out (but I do not know if this will make it easier) is to speed up the event [ctrl+click] -> (the pitch remains original, because by default vegas uses the elastique method).

For me, wider support for input video formats. I can't edit my UHD stuff in VP10.

Others may say GPU acceleration and/or GPU rendering, which a lot of effort has gone into, but which I personally don't use.

Thanks @mateuszszar for the creativity and effort :) Yeah, That would work, but then I'd have to undo it all after the edits :)

Didn't realize plugins are inactive if not realtime... guess that rules that route out :(

No. You don't have to undo...

Drag and drop event again (from project media). Regions will be saved.

From version 10 to version 15 around hundred enhancements and new features came in. So hard to say which were the best.

- Lots of picture related enhancements, but if your working on podcasts (audio only) there were not that many. Of coarse the currect $150 USD upgrade price is attractive just the same.

BTW, Sound Forge Pro may worth looking into since it's a powerful audio editor.

@rraud Yup, that's too attractive to pass up. Just bought the upgrade. Thanks for the tip! I went with the $199 bundle that includes DVD authoring.
