Pitch Shift Amount Number

A new version of Vegas Pro would be version 17. VP14 was released some 4 years ago.

I've used Vegas Pro since VP10 and do not recall there ever being a pitch control on the audio track or in the track header.

Edit: You can add 'Pitch Shift' as an FX from the FX menu at media or track level.

Pitch control of audio simply is arrow up/down (or is it Ctrl+up/down?).

To show the value I think you need to select "Show active take information" in the view menu.

With 'active take info' checked, either up/down or Ctrl+up/down just changes the width of the event on the TL - I just tried it, and there's no change in pitch. Shift+up/down alters the waveform height within the event.

I think you need to select an audio event before. Not sure because I can't test right now. But this feature is availabe since the first version of Vegas Pro and I already used it in the past. Each step is a semitone.

Just had the chance to re-check. +/− works fine in all of my installed Vegas Pro versions if the audio event is selected.

@Marco. ... Solved. I was using the +/- keys just to the right of the numeric pad rather than the +/- just above the alpha keys. Using those (- and Shift+), the pitch does change. Thanking you. Cheers.
