That should do it. The ones next to the backspace key.

Make sure you've got the event selected, and you're using the keys on the keyBOARD and not the keyPAD. Right after 0 on the keyboard. Next to the \ key.

Uh-oh...that's what I'm doing. Could the "import audio at project tempo" being unchecked make a difference. If so would I just check it and re-import the (Drag and Drop) sample. EDIT: never mind I just tried that and it didn't help...it's almost always due to something stupid on my part so think, think gentlemen!
Thanks again,
Randy

Randy, you're in Vegas 5, right?
it's a wav file, right? (If it's not, and import at project tempo is checked, it will usually screw up your tempo, but not pitch) Pitch can be changed on most any file type.
Select the audio. use the - or = key to raise/lower pitch. Not _ or + (holding shift key)
If you have the Show Active Take Information enabled in your Prefs, you should see the pitch change indicator in the lower left corner of your file.
There may be a file type that doesn't allow for pitch changing, but I don't know what that might be.

Yes sir they are .wav...remember Drag and Drop Drummer samples Spot? I can see the names but no change when hitting - and = on the keyboard just to the left of the backspace. Apparently nothing wrong with the physical keyboard since I can do - and = right?
Hmmmm...I have done this before...arrrgh!
Thanks for your patience,
Randy

No, I've been out on a shoot.
Can you send me a file? I'll see if I can do it.
Yes, I remember drag n' drop. I remember drumdrops too!

I don't remember anyone saying you could leave the forum Spot.... : )
I'll send a file and thanks very much!
Drumdrops?
Randy

Drumdrops were recordings of drum performances on LP, then later they came out on 8 track, then later on cassette. You'd play along with them to compose. Some guys dumped them to tape loops.
Old technology..

Check your mail, that cymbal roll dropped right down with 10 pushes of the - key...

In case anyone wants to know the outcome of this issue, it has been resolved. Support had me send a .wav and the .veg.
I got this e-mail from Matt this morning:

Please verify that you have right-clicked on the file and selected

For the life of me I can't figure how I got this toggled to "none". Thanks Spot for all the trouble you went through buddy.

Duh! I hadn't thought to check there, simply because by default, this IS set to Classic. Duh. I feel dumb, but also re-informed. Glad it worked out for you.
