Randini,
I am not sure if you already own SpiceMaster 1, but if you do you can upgrade to SpiceMaster 2. The following is cut and pasted directly from the Pixalen Site:

LIMITED-TIME SPECIAL!
SpiceMASTER 2's introductory price is $199. Buy SM1.2 now for $199 and receive SM2.0 Vegas FREE when it ships! $89 existing SM1 users upgrade; free if SM1 bought after Dec. 15.
HTH,
Barry

The Spice transitions are great, and their real value is in the content, interface, and ease of use.

If you are willing to generate your own content (perhaps using Vegas' Generators), you can simulate a portion of what the spice transitions do using Vegas parent track masking and the brightness/contrast filter keyframed over time. It will give you a small portion of what the spice transitions can do, and it's clunkier than just dropping a transition between clips, but it might tide you over until picking up the spice stuff is more feasible for you. It will also make you want them even more <g>.
