Placement of Text resets PC

I have Vegas installed on two PCs - build 128 and prior to that the two before. On my home PC if I use Text Placement i.e. I click on the text placement tab - the PC resets - Edit, Properties & Effects all work fine.

Any clues??

turn off harware acceleration in your video display card
