Hiyah,

Do you mean "Still" images? If you've got one in the media pool, just grab it and drop it anywhere on the T/L pane.

Come back if this isn't what you're after.

Grazie

OR drag them to the timeline from the explorer window.

I have been trying to put tiff images into the timeline, but I cannot. Does Vegas allow tiff still images to be placed in the timeline?

Yes.

I just creaed a TIF file using one of my other photo applictions and VV had no problem bringing it in. HOWEVER - I did not see TIFF on the "Files of Type" drop down menu...so I had to choose "All Files". Then when it shows up in the browse window, just select it (and click open) so it shows up in the media bin.

Once it is in the bin, just drag it to the timeline.

Or....convert the TIF file to a JPEG.

Apparently, in order to open tiff images, Vegas requires that the QuickTime authoring components be installed. If you haven't installed QuickTime, or if you only installed the default player, you may need to do a full QuickTime install in order to use tiff files.

Good point.

I imported several hi-res tiff files into Vegas just fine. However, they are a lot larger and started to slow down my previews and eventually used up my resources (with 512meg). I would convert them to jpg first.
