Otherwise, is VideoReDo Plus worth purchasing?

Why don't you download the generous trial and decide for yourself?

If you do decide to purchase, the "Plus" version is fine. No need to spend more.

OK, I have the trial version of VideoReDo installed. Can you talk me through exactly what you did to make my .ts file open in MSPPP? It would be greatly appreciated!

Save As->Options->Audio Properties->MPEG

You need to stop being so shy about trying different options.
Good Luck!

LOL, thanks! I only wanted to get right to the point because my wife and I have a 5 month old and I very rarely get a chance to "play" around with my SW. Thanks again!

OK, I open my file and go to 'Save As' and get a prompt saying "No scenes have been defined - There is nothing to output"

Do I have to modify the video/audio in some way for this to work? Now keep in mind, the only thing I want to accomplish is to get the file to open in MSPPP. I wish to do all my editing in there.

OK, I think I may have figured it out. It appears I have to modify the data in some way (I think I deleted a frame) and then I could save and change the audio. It then opened in MSPPP.

Hey musicvid,

Thanks again for all your help. I've been using VideoReDo to convert my audio to mpeg and that's been working great. I will most likely purchase this software (trial will run out soon). It would sure be great if Sony would fix this soon (yes I'm talking to you Sony!!).

One final question I have for you, some of my shows do have 5.1 surround in which I wish to preserve, can you elaborate on your point you made in a previous post as I'm not sure how to accomplish it.

"If you actually have 5.1 surround audio in your .ts that you wish to preserve, you can transcode the audio directly as a separate 6-channel PCM file in AviDeMux and use that in Vegas or to replace the audio in DVDA."
